about me
My name is Marty McLain. I am the Lead Pastor of Summit Church of West Georgia. We meet at the Downtown Conference Center in Douglasville, Georgia. My wife, Stephanie, and I have been married for 21 years and we have four children from ages 11 to 20. For fourteen years, I pastored traditional Baptist churches. These churches ranged in attendance from 60 to 600. However, in 2007, ministry took an unexpected turn. We left the traditional pastorate and launched out to start a contemporary model church. It has been both the most trying and the most satisfying time of our lives. The paradigm shift from traditional to contemporary is harder than it looks but it is well worth the effort. I am excited about all that God has in store for Summit Church.
